3. Today my home town paper, the Los Angeles Times had a list of global initiatives that President-elect Obama will need to act on. Surprise, surprise, they forgot to mention India. I must keep writing this blog to remind the media,  I suppose. Obama himself is more cogent about India and South Asia than most incoming U.S. Presidents. He is the first who knows how to pronounce Pakistan correctly (the first syllable rhyme with Park not with Pack) and he spoke about he enjoyed cooking Daal with his college roommates.
