Milpitas, California-based cybersecurity firm FireEye, opened a new research and development center in Bangalore that will serve as a hub for the development and testing of new FireEye products. During its initial phase, the Bangalore-based center will employ approximately 50 R&D specialists, reports IFSEC Global.
“The Bangalore office is an important milestone for FireEye’s global expansion. We expect the new Bangalore office to play a key role in maintaining cutting edge technology and innovation in the FireEye line of security products,” said Ashar Aziz, founder and CTO at FireEye.
“The FireEye technology addresses a critical security threat that Indian enterprises are facing every day. With FireEye, enterprises can put in place an effective defense and improve their overall security posture,” said Papineni, regional director, India and South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation at FireEye.
